in Essex County, Elevation: 4,867'

Chicory is a perennial plant with blue flowers that is native to Europe and Asia.
Chicory has many uses, including Food, Coffee, Health. The leaves can be eaten
as a vegetable or in salads, and the roots can be boiled and eaten with butter.
The roasted and ground roots can be added to coffee to give it more color, body,
and bitterness. This is especially popular in New Orleans.

Mt. Pilatus
Mt. Pilatus is located in Central Switzerland, near Lucerne.
The mountain massif is 2,128 meters tall and overlooks the
region, offering views of 73 Alpine peaks on a clear day.

Jungfraujoch called the Top of Europe. It is the highest
accessible point in Europe - Up to a staggering 3,454m
height.

The reason Jungfrau is so famous world - wide is its railway,
which was inaugurated in 1912. The Jungfraujoch railway
station, at an elevation of 3,454 metres (11,332 ft) is the
highest in Europe.

Chapel Bridge
The bridge itself was originally built c. 1365 as part of Lucerne's
fortifications. It linked the old town on the right bank of the
Reuss to the new town on the Left bank, securing the town from
attack from the south. A major part of the Chapel Bridge caught
fire in the night of 18 August 1993.

Rathausturm
The town-hall of Lucerne on the kornmarket was built between
1602 and 1606 by the Italian architect Anton Isenmann from the
Prismell region and is valued as masterpiece of late Renaissance
style.

Lion Monument
Lion Monument, or the Lion of Lucerne, is a rock relief in
Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and
hewn in 1820-21 by Lukas Ahorn, it commemorates the Swiss
Guards who were killed in 1792 during the French Revolution,
when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris.
American author Mark Twain praised the sculpture of a mortally
wounded Lion as the most mournful and moving piece of
stone in the world.
